Advisory & project delivery · for healthcare organizations
Clarity in complexity.
Karpas Clinical Advisory partners with healthcare organizations to plan and deliver operational change — bringing a clinician's understanding to the discipline of execution.
Start a conversationWhat we do
Healthcare initiatives fail in the gap between the boardroom, the build team, and the ward.
We work in that gap — organizational work, done with clinical fluency.
Advisory
Clinical-context translation
We help executive, technical, and clinical teams understand each other — so that plans, systems, and workflows reflect how care is actually organized, not how a diagram assumed it would be.
Diligence
Clinical due diligence
Independent clinical assessment of health technologies and care organizations for investors — how a product meets real clinical workflows, what adoption will demand, and where the clinical risks sit.
Delivery
Program & project management
Structured planning and delivery of healthcare initiatives — governance, risk and dependency management, stakeholder coordination, and reporting that keeps decision-makers genuinely informed.
Implementation
Change & implementation support
Workflow mapping, documentation, vendor liaison, and rollout support — the unglamorous work that determines whether a good plan becomes a working reality.
Karpas Clinical Advisory provides management consulting services to organizations. Engagements do not include medical advice, clinical judgment, diagnosis, treatment, or patient care.
Karpas is an old word for spring greenery — the first, deliberate growth of the season. It is a fitting emblem for how we work: nothing ornamental, everything cultivated with intent.
We take on a small number of engagements and stay close to the detail. We write things down. We tell clients what we see, including when it is inconvenient. And we measure our contribution the only way that matters in delivery work — by what is actually operating, adopted, and durable when the engagement ends.
About
Led by a clinician who moves between the clinic and the advisory table.
Dr Justin Karpas is an Australian-trained general practitioner — a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners — now based in Los Angeles and working with healthcare organizations on the operational side of care.
His career has moved deliberately between the clinic and the advisory table. It began in the hospital system, in surgical and general medical registrar roles — wards, theatre lists, acute medicine — before an eighteen-month move to Quantium, a data-analytics consulting firm, within its health and government practice — contributing to engagements for state and federal health departments, a major private health insurer, and a medical device company. He then returned to the front line in general practice, adding the outpatient world to his hospital grounding.
Throughout, he has advised venture investors on the clinical merits of emerging health technology — due-diligence work he continues on a selective basis today.
Karpas Clinical Advisory brings the full span of that experience — hospital and primary care, analytical consulting, and investor-grade assessment — to organizational and delivery work for clients in Australia and the United States.
